Love from me

I thought a wee mini party for the kids would be fun for Hogmanay.  We watched some live streaming video of New Year fireworks in Dubai, Elise chimed 12 bells on my brass triangle and then we had sparklers. 
The sparklers gave me the idea to try light painting.  Which of course proves difficult with a 6 inch broken tripod and a camera which you can't set the exposure on.  I should mention it was bloody freezing outside too! However my enthusiastic assistant (Amber) and I had loads of laughs having a go.  I did try writing Happy New Year but it was an illegible squiggle.
 So here is a heart to let you all know that I'm still loving Blip, I've just lost a bit of my mojo, and finding time difficult. Still viewing your journals but I'm sorry I've been a shy with the commenting.  Hoping once this festive palaver is out of the way things will return to normal.

Normally P works on Hogmanay but somehow manages to make a last minute appearance at the bells.  Of course this year he's hundreds of miles away but he phoned and we had the bells (or canon up here) over speaker phone with him, not the same but still nice.
My Sis and I shared a bottle of Prosecco, Cherry Madeira cake was consumed also (and yet more marshmallows).  Amber was allowed to stay up for the first time, I think she was rather disappointed.  Normally there's more noise and people here so I think she thought it would be more fun!
