instant ice sheets

Here's my photo for day 1 of my 2015 265 Challenge! I saw the Steve Spangler Instant Ice experiment on the news the other night, so yesterday we put some water bottles in a cooler outside, and then left them out too long - we only had two that weren't already frozen solid. It was very cool to do it with the 2 we could though - and they didn't freeze solid, just down the center, so I was curious to see what the ice looked like. The photo is what the ice looked like after I poured the water out. It was very thin sheets all stuck together.  What a fun science trick!
