Blue and Green; Summer Colours of Mid-Canterbury
Once more the truck and trailer were loaded up today, as Mrs H and I took some more stuff down to the soon-to-be new house in Peel Forest.
After dropping off our load, and setting a 'borer bomb' in the house to kill off any insects and woodworm, we headed on back in the heat, crossing the Canterbury Plains down Thompson's Track.
It's a road I'm getting very familiar with, but its scenic nature never means it's that boring. This is the view just outside Mayfield today, on the Mayfield-Valletta road, looking out towards high peaks that lie at the head of the Rangitata Gorge.
