Snow time for playing!

After the excitement of last night's snow, we could barely wait for everyone to be up so we could go and play, there was over half a foot of white!  We had snow boots, gloves, waterproof trousers at home but we'd only brought the jackets with us, there was no need for them surely.  How we regretted it today.  We hunted in the wardrobe and found some gear so we all went out to play.

It wasn't long before Daniel's feet were cold and he wanted to go back in though.  He watched from the window as his mummy and I cleared his Dad's car of snow and his Uncle G took the snow shovel to the drive to clear a route out for the cars.  Tireless and full of the joys of snow, G stayed out longer than all of us and crafted a snowman out of the pile of snow we'd cleared from the drive.

Once everyone was warmed up there was more quite play and another lovely evening of good food, drink and cards for the grown ups.
