Rough with the smooth

January Challenge: Textures: Rough

A day of prepping dinner and tidying with My Love. Then a lovely walk at Skaill with Mumpy & Pawpee. Across the beach, up to the cairn and beyond to Ramna Geo.

Back home to the smell of slow roast leg of lamb and freshly made bread. A great night was had and delicious food was consumed.

This is one of the 5 mermaids purses we found on the beach today. I like the contrast of the rough outer layer against the patterned smooth inner.
