.. to clean the windows.

My mum saw this picture and asked 'is that inside your shed?' Er, no, it's inside my actual house I'm afraid.

A much needed stay-at-home day today. Washing, tidying, watching the light, taking photos of shadows and rainbows, otherwise known as housework avoidance techniques. The children did eat some fruit today though, so that's good.

I'm thinking about the Blip year ahead and I'm really wanting to try some more creative, abstracty shots. I like the square format better in new Blip (as I hate scrolling to see the whole pic) so more square photos too. More series, more shadows .. Less conscious effort too. Blip only becomes hard for me when I go looking for something to Blip. So more quick decisions, earlier-in-the day posting too. Those are my intentions. We'll see. As long as my write-ups reflect the family news and keep the journal story, it sort of doesn't matter what the subject of the shot is. I've only just connected these thoughts so forgive my rambling.


Edit: Got the news about PolarBlip and suddenly the penny dropped .. So that's why we've got the white background and all the white space around thumbnails. Of course! The Polaroid branding started long before the announcement was made. There we were, thinking that our collective voice could make a difference but the job was already done and nothing anybody said, or did, would have changed anything - certainly not the white back to grey. It makes me sad and I feel a bit of a fool. I liked the simple world of Blip and feel the changes (and the news of the merger/acquisition) were clumsily executed and lacking transparency (a bit like my windows).

Oh well, I'm going to keep on keeping on. I hope everyone else does too x
