Hanbury Church

We visited Hanbury Hall this afternoon. It is a National Trust property, and although I was there recently with a group from our village, Nikonabike had never been.
We took our boys, and walked all through the parkland surrounding the Hall, and then up a hill to Hanbury Church. Evidently the view from the churchyard is one of the most stunning viewpoints in Worcestershire, and it certainly was today, with clear views across to the Cotswold Hills in one direction and the Malvern Hills in the other.
We thought that it must have been a stronghold or similar in the past, as it is in such a dominating position, and when we arrived home I  did a bit of research. Evidently it was once the site of an Iron Age hill fort and sometime later was the home of monks. The present building dates from 1210.
It was certainly a breathtaking view from up there. I don't know who this family was, but I liked their silhouettes.
We descended on the path back down to the Hall for a well-deserved coffee/hot chocolate and shared a HUGE piece of flapjack.
It was at this point that I received a text message from Technophobe asking me if I knew why "Polaroid" was showing on the Blipfoto site. As she and LooseCanon are now in Beijing visiting their son, and then going on to Vietnam, it looked to them as though they were picking up a hacked site in China. The good news was that it wasn't a Chinese hacker after all !  A few minutes later the Polaroid-Blipfoto email arrived and all was revealed.
I shall reserve judgement - you never know about these things until you've given it a try.
