New Year's Eve
2014 came and went. It has had its highs, a couple of lovely holidays, fun times with family and friends, continued employment. Yet it has also had its lows. The year began with ill health, the constant stress of a damaged roof and costly repairs, short notice packing up our house, job insecurity and then my gran got ill, well more ill than she previously was. She went into care and then into hospital and now awaits a place in nursing care. Several times we have thought she was about to die, we even discussed arrangements thinking a funeral was imminent, ironed black clothes. Yet despite this, we have all made it through the year. Ready to see in 2015 and all the challenges, trials, tribulations and merriment that it may bring.
Tonight we spent New Years Eve as we often do, curled up on the sofa, the outside world shut out. This evening I enjoyed a glass of "Baileys", okay it wasn't Baileys it was vegan Irish Cream, only it wasn't Irish Whiskey it was Scotch. Delicious all the same!
I hope the New Year finds you happy and healthy no matter what trials it throws your way.
Cheers!
