Polaroid
After watching Joe's video message, I knew what my Blip needed to be. The plastic wrapped camera on the far left has a piece of tape and a torn gift tag indicating it was a Christmas gift to someone. The box also says "Sears Special." The bar of flash cubes is labeled General Electric. The box in the middle has photographs on both ends, and the captions are in Spanish. The leather carrying case and camera within belonged to my father-in-law who died in 2011 at 92. His other camera was an Argus. The two tall cameras appear to be the newest ones in the group. Among the treasures we found after my mother died were many Polaroid photos. I have used a couple of these cameras, but the film is hard to find or too expensive for me to justify. By the way, I got tears in my eyes listening to Joe's comments about community and sharing our lives one day and one photo at a time. I hope the change will be great for all of us.
