Ashton Avenue Bridge, Bristol

This bridge is important locally, being on the edge of the city between the docks and open countryside. It is an important walking and cycling link used heavily at all times. Arguably it serves an important part in what many see as Bristol's appeal and livability, particularly it's ability to be walked/cycled and with strong links to the surrounding countryside.

This year the role of the bridge will change significantly as it is due to be used as part of the City Council's much challenged MetroBus route.
