End of the Pier show

Recently the sky has been holding its breath.  But today it exhaled in style.  Wind today has been constant / clattering the roof tiles / gusty / blowy and we have watched wave after wave after wave go past the window.  This is the well-sheltered Houton Pier used for the Flotta work boat.  Went across to visit my Mum in Stromness today; very few folk going about.  They were sensible.  Baz is back sleeping in the airing cupboard - which is better than any barometer or weather satellite service.  It’s back to the GlenDronach tonight.
