Peaceful Pebble

After the windy conditions of the previous days we awoke to a beautifully sunny, calm and mild day. Too bad we were returning to Stanley later on. But with a late flight departure on the second wave we were able to enjoy a leisurely wander along the shoreline close to the lodge. This is the view looking towards Brocken Island and West Falkland. In the foreground a group of non-breeding Upland Geese are calmly waiting out their catastrophic moult together.
