Village Fives Court

I tried to begin a new regime of decluttering today - it seems to be the buzz word on blogs on the internet - I began with the kitchen and it took nearly all day but I felt very virtuous by the end. It was shocking how much out of date things there were and made me think very hard about over buying and just  realising we have ' enough ' !
I also popped out to register Diego at the vets and walked past the Ball Court in the village which bears this delightful sign. I know of a fives court at Ludlow in shropshire and i do know my Dad played the game at King Charles  1 Grammar school in Kidderminster during the 1920's.
The sign says the court was for the ' health and amusement of the town' !
