January 2nd Strangford

When I was a wee lad I used to wonder what it would be like in the year 2000; would I still be be alive, would I be rich and, as I was only a wee lad, "will Mum and Dad still be alive".  Well we all made it, though sadly they are now gone.  And I never got rich. But 2015, that's a number that I never really thought about. It's not a number that carried any magic in my "wee lad's mind".  But it's scary to think that 15 years have passed since the millennium, bloody hell, here's to the next 15.  Today we took a trip to Castleward and walked for miles along the shore.  Most of the views across the lough are to Portaferry on the far shore, but I chose this photo because there are no cars or modern buildings in it and it could have been taken any time, 2015, 2000, 1915, whatever.
