Lurching Home

I decided to give my new tripod its first outing today. I played around with it indoors and was surprised that I sussed how to use it without help or even the slightest glance at the manual.

I thought I'd try for a sunset. Before I had even got my gear out of the boot I spotted an animal running in the distance. I thought it might be a deer but when I looked through my 400mm I could see that it was a dog. It looked just like the heraldic talbot. Then I saw the man in the pic with another dog. I love the blue of the evening in this image.

I didn't get on very well with my tripod but I'll persevere.
