Cider orchard

This is one of the few remaining apple orchards in our area. Long may it remain before it disappears under houses. 

When Hamey asked me which way I wanted to go this morning, I decided my only criterion was to 'turn left', i.e. not go on a routine route. So, along the lane, past the school, up Butts Way, through the orchard, across the valley, down High Street (which isn't as it sounds, being a long cul de sac ending at the 'sac' end at Milverton Court, an organic herb farm, with no other commercial buildings), and back through the village to our hamlet. Very pleasant in the sunshine, though chilly.
