Listening

I can listen (& Ann can add text onto a photo - wooohoooo!)

When Ann has something important to tell me I have to focus on her. I'm not allowed to be distracted and let my eyes wander onto something else because if that happens she just makes me listen to everything all over again.

Tomorrow our 'real live blip friends', Carrie and Kirstie (and Casper & Stanley the spaniels) are coming for lunch. I am sooooo excited. However, I have had to have a little 'pep talk' on how I should behave:

1) I am the host, I'm almost 8 years old, Casper & Stanley are much younger than me so I have to act like a very mature grown up collie and set a good example to them.

2) If Casper & Stanley are thirsty I must allow them to have a drink out of my water bowl without getting all possessive about it.

3) If Casper & Stanley make amorous advances towards me and I'm not interested I have to tell them politely to leave me alone - though if I fancy them I must repress any urges because that would be 'cradle snatching'?!

4) I must greet Carrie & Kirstie nicely, I must not jump up, I must not give them my 'appealing look' when they are eating and I must not demand attention if Ann is chatting.

That's a lot of things for a little collie like me to remember. I'm so excited I haven't been able to eat any of my dinner tonight and now Ann's a bit worried about me?!!!!

PS - For the first time in 532 days Ann didn't look at anything on BLIP yesterday and when she switched on the computer today she was overwhelmed by the amount of positive comments re our blip yesterday. We definitely won't stop Blipping because she's more addicted to BLIP than she is to wine?! However, now she's feeling like a 'bad Blipper' because she hasn't responded to any of the lovely comments from yesterday. She will though - just give her time. Thank you Blip community for loving us both sooooo much. xxxx
