Bob's Bromeliad

This magnificent bromeliad flower has been gradually opening up over the past few days and the bromeliad flowers are a major feature of CCN's sister and brother-in-laws garden.  They have a wonderful property and are very proud of their garden.  

I love the way their bromeliads are nestled in under the trees.  It gives the garden a very tropical feel.  I realised after taking a few images of the plants that my macro lens can't come a moment too soon.  It's on order and I just hope it arrives before I leave Bundaberg.  I'll be racing out in the mornings to capture as many beautiful blooms as I can.
