Beginning of the End

The outgoing Birmingham Library which has been recently replaced by the new one.

Today all the shops and bars inside the complex were closed and in the process of being emptied. I suppose it won't be long before the demolition starts so this heralds a period of change for this part of Brum.

I guess no could love the architecture but us children of the '70's and '80's have fond memories of the Central Library as it was the primary source of reading matter and, importantly, sheet music.
