California Quail

I'm back.  My camera  died last month while I was overseas. The last photo it took was of the London Shard. Sad.

So now upgraded to the Canon 7D Mark 2. It's quite complex and a huge learning curve, so I decided blipping each day might be the way to come to grips with it.

So here's my first shot of a Californian Quail in my friends garden. So far I'm only getting about 50% of my shots in focus so there's a much needed room for improvement
