doing their thing

Late 'ish' afternoon walk with a friend and her two children. With our youngest being the youngest by nearly six years she sometimes is required to just be that little more grown up that she really needs to be. That includes on walks where she covers pretty good distances at a pretty good pace for her little legs. 

However with a two year old with us we just ambled and the children did what children do so well:
puddle jumping
gate swinging
zigzag running
stick carrying
tree climbing
discovering faces in rock formations
dropping mittens in swollen becks
giggling
and of course asking for food every few minutes!

Delightful for Sienna to be just a 7 year old and in the moment.

The morning had been sent running a few errands - collecting the iPad left at our friend's from New Year's, spending a Christmas voucher in the sale and trying to open a bank account for the eldest. Who knew that was so tricky!!! Love a bit of bueaucracy!
