Garden Colour: January

Elsewhere in the Neglected Garden, pots brimming with the tips of the new year's growth , snowdrops, narcissi, dwarf daffs.  Not yet interesting to look at.

I prefer the soggy, brown and black of the beech leaves which I leave on the borders where they fell, as a mulch.  Nice bit of mossy stuff too!   And an entire carpet of sodden spongey moss pretending to be a winter lawn.
