Walking back from town to the ship today I took a short cut through the back streets, or were they the real streets.  It's a Sunday and the churches were full, not much going on in  town except at the beach.  Such contrasts, the sleek white yachts in the marina and the peeling timber and corrugated iron roofs.  Climate make this place what it is I suppose; if a hurricane comes calling there's no point in spending all you've got on a house that's likely to be flattened before the paint has dried.
