The beautiful enduring strength of my gran

On the 2nd January 1971, 66 people lost their lives at a football game. One of the 66 was my Papa, David Anderson who at 45 was enjoying a successful career as a civil engineer with two beautiful children and a marriage that was full of love and commitment.

My gran (photographed recently and in the photograph above) was widowed at 45 and never re-married.

At almost 90 and although having suffered two strokes and being paralysed down one side is still wonderfully strong and a pivotal part of our family.

I love her and the love she and my papa had.
