Another planet

I’ve been keeping an eye on the full moon and the weather and tonight was another opportunity not to be missed.    The weather was due to clear up just as the moon was rising and the wind was dying right off.

We walked all the way up Ingleborough in the light of the moon but used our torches to descend as the path was quite icy. 

Arriving at the top of a mountain in the moonlight feels like you’ve arrived on another planet.  We spent a few moments taking it all in and then headed on down for tea and sandwiches before driving home.  Rich said to keep an eye out for owls and sure enough, a pair danced right in front of us before we got to Ribblehead.

The moon was up so early we have even managed to start series seven of Dexter!
