Upside down, rightside up

So i missed taking pics on the 1st and the 2nd, but wanted to make it a point to at least take some pictures today. Although it was thoroughly nasty outside I went for a walk to see what I could find. And I almost had a great shot, while walking along the path I look into the woods and noticed a huge owl, sitting on a branch about 12 ft off the ground. I knew I could get closer and started stalking this bird eagerly trying to get into the best angle  possible. I was tip toeing down the bike path, with about 10 yds to go to get into a good shooting position, so engrossed in my stealthness, that I didn't hear the runner coming up on my six. And when he ran passed me I almost jumped out of my skin, and then i looked up and away flew my target...... I was really bummed and then it started raining and I hadn't even snapped one shot. I ended up taking five shots and settled on this one. Maybe tomorrow I can find that owl.
