Snuck up on a Duck
Today started off miserable again but we refused to stay in the house and went out to Meyer Park (About 5 miles away) for a stroll. Many moons ago Meyer Park was a Native American Settlement. Now it is a place for kids to play and has multiple football fields. There are also a few small lakes and an abundance of birds. We saw a few types of woodpecker, chickadees, egrets and many other birds. There were also Nutria (Coypu). Texann got a picture of one woman feeding the large rats.
As it happened our stroll coincided with the sun coming out and I got a number of shots ranging from landscapes to close ups. In the end I chose to blip this duck. The shot was taken before the sun came out and just as the clouds were breaking. I just liked the perspective. Oh, and I took this with a 70mm lens. He was one confident duck. He tasted great this evening as well :-)
So here you have it. Snuck up on a duck.
