Alstroemeria & Lavender

Mother and I went picking blackcurrants this morning.  My sister-in-laws parents live down towards the coast on the peninsula at Broad Bay.  For a handful of years we go down about this time of the year and pick a couple of kilos of blackcurrants and preserve them to have in the winter.  Really super food for Vitamin C!
We do the picking and then chat over a simple lunch before returning home via a stop for an icecream at the Macandrew Bay dairy.  Mother likes hokey pokey (kiwi iconic flavour) and I usually cannot go by the boysenberry ripple.  If the canine is lucky he gets the tail end of the icecream cone.
Very hot today - 27C - with a roof reading of 43C!!  Still still and sticky out so a hot sweaty night ahead.
