Blowing the cobwebs away
A day of snow showers, wind, huge threatening clouds but some sunshine too.
To get some fresh air we decided to head south to St. Ninian's Isle, one of Shetland's most spectacular beaches. We walked across the sand tombolo and reached the island where a Pictish treasure was discovered under a cross-marked slab in the floor of the early St. Ninian's church in 1958. It was amazing standing where the chapel was and imagining travelling back in time...
