Her name was Lola ...

Meet Lola. She is our 1975 Kombi with a very discreet paint job. Our parents have been looking after her while we have been away, so we have delighted in driving around the beaches in her the last few days.

It makes us feel younger when we drive her, so we are hoping this translates to looking younger as well. Worth a try!

We have an 8 hour drive back to our home in Sydney tomorrow, but with Lola, you have to be more relaxed and expect to add a few more hours onto the trip as she is not built for speed. Air conditioning consists of winding down the windows, and its pretty much hit and miss with finding the right gear, but you certainly smile a lot when you drive her.
