Hanging out the washing

Dramatic change in the landscape today as we went from Dovan to Deurali (3230m). The first hour was climbing up out of a bamboo forest. Then we were above the tree line and because of there being less oxygen in the air, nothing grows so vegetation was sparse. We spent the next few hours scrambling along rocks beside the roaring river. We spent the afternoon at our teahouse acclimatizing. We got to sit out in the sun for a hour before it slipped behind fishtail - then it was freezing, so it was on with the layers and inside to the kerosene heater (very smelly).
