Antique lily

This Clivia usually flowers in March so I was surprised to see this bloom start to emerge a few weeks ago. I love the soft orange against the dark green leaves. This plant came to me from my grandmother who was given the original when her first son was born in 1921. "I was given that lily when  your Uncle Billy was born. So you know how old it must be!"

Just like she did I have given away many offshoots and told its story each time.
