Very welcome visitor

11 pm ferry from Newhaven, arrived at Dieppe at 4am. No sleep but managed to drive home OK with only two stops. One quite long as had run into heavy fog so waited until day sort of broke before continuing.

At house, electricity was off and house was freezing.

Lots of fiddling about and calls to EDF later, they agreed at 11am to send emergency engineer. He arrived at 1pm and said the meter was broken and replaced it in 15 minutes. Cheers for EDF for once!

So house now warming (only 12° at the moment). Weather mild so it's warmer outside than in.
