I've been ruthlessly culling books from my collection these past few weeks. It is a painful process. I thought taking the excess to the used bookstore to sell might ease the pain a little so today we went to Lawrence, Kansas and the Dusty Bookshelf used bookstore. They took two boxes worth and offered a reasonable amount in trade but since I don't want to accumulate anymore books I took the cash which paid for a nice lunch, ice cream and maybe the gas it took to get there. I'm not sure the Mister felt adequately compensated for lifting the boxes in and out the extra times, and we still have four boxes to donate to the library (more lifting). Next time I think we'll go straight to the library.
