I've received sad news of the passing of much-loved ginger beast Alphy, who owned my former partner K and I when we were together.

I became so attached to this characterful moggie that I somehow managed to mostly control strong feline allergies. He was quite demanding , had plenty to say for himself and insisted on taking me for walks of an evening (his route, his choice, obviously!)

When K and I parted, losing Alphy was also a huge wrench, but it was annoyingly right that he went into her custody, as his original 'owner', but I missed him enormously.

So, an unusually sentimental Blip from me, and with an old photograph from a happy, sunny time around 10 years ago.
