Boiling Water?

... no, freezing water - it was frosty but sunny when I went out this morning. I've decided to extend my patch to include a section of the river and adjacent woodland. As far as I can see, no one else records wildlife there on a regular basis and as there is no water and the small area I had adopted it means I can include quite a lot more birds that live by running water such as kingfishers, herons, grey wagtails and other waterfowl, and of course dippers. I never tire of seeing dippers.
