Foggy Mountain High
From the rear of the house I could see the mountain was covered in a thick fog. I needed to visit my eldest son; I could either drive along the dual carriageway or drive over a twisty mountain road. The latter is always a bit precarious as other motorists sometimes drive far too fast and sort of skid to a halt as though you shouldn't be there.
On the way over I took some photo's, and although I met some drivers they were considerate. Maybe the fog helped.
My sons dogs made a fuss of me. As usual the older one lay across me for attention, the pup was very excited and kept wanting to lick me, panting like an old steam engine. As soon as I stopped stroking one, the paw would pull my arm back. It was difficult to drink my coffee! They are loveable characters.
I took another route over the mountain back home, across Mynydd Y Grug (Blackwood to Machen) common. The fog was just as thick. I stopped and took the blip photo. I quite like the colourful grass contrasting against the grey fog, and the dry stone wall and lone tree.
I had the 'Games of Thrones' DVD compendium for Christmas. I've never watched it before, so I'm just about to start watching it. Loads seem to rate it. I hope I get into it!
