Arrived at Hawkshead youth hostel after a somewhat nerve-wracking drive in the dark over Kirkstone pass and down 'the struggle' to Ambleside.  Found a bunk in a 'non-party' room and had an early-ish night after signing up for a walk tomorrow - and writing it down so I wouldn't go on the wrong one, then photographing my hand in case the ink came off...
