Christmas Lunch

This was a Christmas lunch like I'd never had before.

For a change of scenery, we de-camped from CR's and went to mine late morning. After this, (and a second round for the patient) he mustered the strength to open presents. A good haul - lots of lovely things (I'm a kindle girl now!) and very grateful for the thought that was put in by family and friends.

So whilst it wasn't quite the day we had planned, I later cobbled together a roast chicken, with stuffing, veg and gravy, (having done a 0745 trip to Lidl on Xmas Eve, after confirming that we wouldn't be going out...) and that all went down well.

...for a short time at least. It was all a bit too good to be true for him to have managed such a rich variety of tastes and textures. :-(

I had a glass of Baileys on ice. I stopped at one, as I'd have needed about ten, to hit the spot!
