Bitter sweet
5years 75days
Incredible day today. So very special. Today was the Christening of my beautiful youngest godson, Myles (yes, he is in fact absent from todays blip). It was a wonderful service. Myles was on amazing form, wandering the church and chattering, exploring, grinning. These three beauties were fabulous. They were so good for the whole service and the rest of the day. I did the group photos after and they were good as gold. They walked to the party, had a brilliant time at the party. They played well, ate well and were absolutely no trouble. All four of them had a wonderful time together playing with the bubbles. They were all really patient as we packed up the party. Then back at Nannans, they were completely made up to discover we had put all of the party balloons loose in the children's bedroom. Katie, Max and Eden played together for over two hours in the room. They played lets pretend under the bed, they bounced and danced on the bed, played with the balloons. The four children had a bath together before coming down for a drink. After Myles went to bed, the big three had supper. Max, Edie and Katie had ginormous cuddles before M&E went up to bed. I couldnt convince Katie to leave. She knew that leaving meant leaving Max and Eden for real as they go back to Australia on Tuesday. She ended up having a wonderful time playing with the grown ups and eating some more snacks. She actually left quite calmly when we finally agreed about 9pm to leave. She broke her wee heart when we reached the safety of her carseat. It has been the most wonderful month. It is always hard to say goodbye after their visits. This time feels harder. Sharing holidays, Christmas and the Christening with my favourite wee people has meant a huge amount to both of us. We are going to miss you crazy lots.
