New Zealand pohutukawa

Also known as the New zealand Christmas tree. These should flower in time for Christmas but for the last few years they have not flowered early enough. Maybe a sign of climate change?
Whenever they flower they are a spectacular tree. This one is at least ten metres tall and is a mass of flowers. I enjoy walking or driving past it just to appreciate the sight.
