Quiet today, at least by comparison to earlier this week.

Drove up to Oldham this afternoon and spent a splendid couple of hours viewing some great art and catching up with former colleagues and current friends.

Arrived home to find that G had lifted the carpet in preparation for its replacement that is being fitted on Monday. I have to paint all the woodwork before then meaning that it looks like I'll be spending my weekend on my knees, paintbrush in hand.
