Nature's Jewels
Dear Diary,
This photograph represents one of those moments of common enchantment I love to come across. When something catches your eye and holds you transfixed for a time. R and I were shopping, my mind certainly not on making photographs, when as we crossed a little bridge in the village center my eye was drawn to these tiny frozen drops. The river was too fast moving to be frozen but these crystal-like droplets formed a necklace along the edge.
This is also an example of why one should always carry some form of camera with them at all times. Nature always has a way of catching us up in these delightful small moments of wonder where something as simple as frozen water makes us stop what we are doing and just look.
He who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead; his eyes are closed. - Albert Einstein
