Legwork

As the chairman of Stroud Cricket Club I feel I should set the standard in the voluntary attraction of new members and players to our wonderful and historic institution.

I therefore instructed the committee to provide me with asked for copies of the president's letter and a subs form. Last night I wrote a simple fixture list and printed out fifty copies of each one.

Add that to fifty envelopes and some serious legwork (I'm posting one through every letterbox in the area of the club) and we could pick up a couple of players, supporters, followers or interested parties.

I bloody hope so. We've got an enormous amount to give.
