My poppy has arrived

Having been so impressed by the poppies installation at the Tower of London back in October, I was lucky enough to be able to buy one of the ceramic poppies. The installation was dismantled at the end of November and, once cleaned and packed, the individual flowers are being sent out.
My Grandfather and 5 great uncles fought throughout the Great War and survived, another great uncle was not so lucky and was killed at Passchendaele in 1917. These poppies will mean different things to different people but, for me, mine will be a reminder of what my family members did a century ago
