London Bridge

Since around the middle of 2014, I have been taking my father up to Guy's Hospital every couple of weeks for a series of routine appointments. This is a bit of a challenge given that he's 88 years old and public transport isn't really age-friendly (actually I think it's the public that isn't age-friendly, but I'll rant about that elsewhere), but we have a pretty good routine established now. We drive to Petts Wood, then get the train up to London Bridge and walk across the road. Simple.

Except now they're shutting our platforms on London Bridge station.

So this was the last time we'll see this platform ever, as they are closing them completely before we next go up there. The station is being redesigned, and that corner of it will be no more, so next time we'll have to go from Sanderstead and arrive in a completely different part of the station.

I think I'm going to miss this platform a little.
