Totem poles

First day back in the saddle for me but the children had one more day off.
Went for a lovely long walk round Virginia Waters to show them the totem pole. Took the wrong turn out of the car park, saw the Cascade and the Ruin. Then a little someone fell into a huge puddle..... after pouring a large amount of smelly water out of her wellies we decided to leave the pole for another day. 
After lunch the children produced these amazing totems with out even seeing the real thing.

Have been on a course this evening, 'Sewing Machine Basics'. Loved it! Even though I've been sewing on and off for many years. There was lots to learn. Now i'm all fired up and ready to start making my first proper quilt, 'Breaking Waves'.
