Mummy's cauldron
It was chilly and a great day for making soup so I did. I don't know what I should call this soup though. I made it like the tale of Stone soup (I didn't trick anyone). Water and salt. Put some carrots, onions, potatoes. I just knew that I wanted it to have a strong color. Dark red or purple and I remembered we had leftover beetroot and a bottle of red cabbage sauerkraut that my husband made. Good! So I put them both in. Great color! My daughter would not eat the soup unless it tastes of tomatoes. Two packets of diced tomatoes, here we go! Maybe a little bit more salt? Done. Maybe I could call it mummy's cauldron soup.
