Festooned with lichen
With the tide well out this morning at the estuary, spoonbills, pied stilts, oyster catchers, ducks, herons and seagulls were all busy feeding in the shallow waters. There seems to have been an explosion in the heron population lately so the feed must be plentiful. Blackbirds, sparrows, fantails and tuis were also in evidence along the path.
But the lichen hanging on the branch is my choice for today. I didn't realise there was a cobweb included until I uploaded it.
