A TALE of the SHATTERED iPAD

Just a quick walk into the family room, and
He slipped from my hand,
Landing hard on the tile floor.
The side of his case buckling under the pressure.
Shards of glass skittered across the floor.

I quickly moved our pets to the bedroom,
So I could search for and clean-up those teeny-tiny pieces.

No stranger to injury,
A few months ago,  he developed a serious crack,
Making it difficult for him to respond to hand gestures.
This weakened state certainly didn’t help to save his face.

As for me,
Several shiny slivers snuggled into my fingers,
All because I wanted to record the incident for Blip.

Agent Mulder, my iPhone, has come face to face with hard surfaces,
Always saved by his Trident case.
I guess my iPad needed that same sort of heavy armor,
Rather than his light weight, wuss case.
